Begin To Change Your Life

If you begin to change each day, just one day at a time, you begin to
change your life. You may have to think about things differently. You may
need to make changes to the way you normally do things in order to break
those old habits. The resources you need to turn your dreams into reality
are within you and nobody can release them except
you.

Here are 10 easy to try ideas to change you life and how you see it.

1. Eat breakfast. There’s an old saying “eat breakfast like a king, lunch
like a prince and dinner like a pauper.”
Most of us are in too much of a hurry
and rush the most important meal of the day.  Try changing what you eat. If
you eat bran, try muesli. When was the last time you had porridge? Break
your routine and try something different. Change is the order of the day.

2. Change your order. When you get up in the morning do things in a
different order. Don’t try and be superman and put your underwear on the
outside of your trousers, but perhaps try getting dressed starting in a
different order. Break your routine - it won‘t hurt.

3. A change challenge. At night write yourself a note such as: The one
thing I will do differently tomorrow is... or, the one thing I will change
tomorrow is….

Put the note in an unusual place where you might find it by surprise eg.
Inside your shoe, inside the coffee jar. Be a little unpredictable for once.

4. A goal target. Write another note with a single goal you’d like to achieve
during the day. It does not necessarily need to be anything time consuming,
or major, but should be at least a small challenge, or break from your daily
life routine.

It could be something you have been dreading, or putting off, or meaning to
get around to. Maybe phoning an old friend or cleaning the shed. Keep the
notes and look back on them from time to time to see what  you achieved.
See how you have changed your life.

5. Talk to yourself. We all do it, but try doing it out loud. Say something
funny or ask yourself some questions that need answering. Talk about what
you are going to do today or what you want to say to someone. Talk about
how you are going to change your life. Talk out loud. Get comfortable with
yourself.

6. Smile. Start smiling it’ll make people wonder what you are up to. That’s
good,  let them wonder. Smile when you are walking to the car, or at the
supermarket. Learn to talk with a smile. It’s contagious and we all like to be
around happy people.

7. Simple exercise. Throughout the day stretch your hands, rotate your
head (not 360 degrees). Do some toe lifts – roll your weight to the balls of
your feet... extend to stand on your toes stretching as high as you can…
then come down slowly. Try holding some deep breaths. These are simple
exercises you can do while you are waiting for the kettle to boil, or the
computer to start up. Get a spring into your step!

8. You can’t like everyone. You don’t need to be rude, but you don’t
need to be nice to everyone either. If there is someone you really dislike,
accept it. It is not your responsibility to have to like everyone. Be
comfortable with who you are. Be happy - it will change your life!

9. Spoil yourself. Perhaps once a week on the same day, treat yourself in
some way. Maybe coffee or lunch with a friend. Look forward to your weekly
treat.

10. Celebrate change. Throughout each day do little things differently for
a change. Drive home down a different street. Kiss your partner on the
other cheek. Put the phone to your other ear. Eat with your fork in your
other hand. These are all little reminders to try something different and that
you can change your life.

day brings with it a brand new chance to make whatever you want to
